The sole proprietor is Dr. Tim Burrell, who has a doctorate in patent law from Wits, is a visiting professor of law at Rhodes, was the first incumbent of the Barloworld chair of IP law at Wits, and was for many years the senior partner of Spoor & Fisher.

All work receives the personal and close attention of Dr. Burrell who, when necessary in relation to the different sciences, calls upon the assistance of his many university colleagues.

Dr. Burrell often appears in the High Court, thus obviating the need to instruct counsel.

He frequently acts as South African attorneys’ patent attorney and/ or IP counsel of choice.
